Chick Fil-A: "Yeah, We're On the List"

You may not know it but Chick Fil-A has become THE hotspot for the coolest toddlers in the A-T-L. Last week we met up with Owen and Carly to have snacks and play hard. Carly was a daredevil and climbed UP the slide and got very upset when her mommy pulled her out. The boys tried to keep up with her but it wasn't easy!

Trip to the Northeast

We went to NY & CT this past weekend for my Anna's bridal shower and got to see the East coast grandparents. Jackson had so much fun and got to show off his walking skills in person! Pop-Pop, Bernie, Alyssa and Mike took him to a wonderful picnic where he bounced in a jumpy thing, tried his first snow cone and stole lots of balloons. We visited the Bear Mountain Zoo with Nana where Jackson rode on a carousel (and didn't love it!). One of the days we hung out by the pool with Aunt Anna and Uncle Nick. It was a great visit and we miss everyone already!

4th of July Fun

We took Jackon to Marietta Square for the annual 4th of July parade and festivities and met up with friends Scott, Sara and Emma. He loved dancing to live music with Emma (and mommy) and tried his first hot dog! Later he got a balloon, which he is totally obsessed with...

New Crocs!

Here is Jackson walking around in his new Crocs from Nana. They are a little big, even for his double-wide feet but they seem to stay on and are great in the pool.

J's Posse

Here are some pictures of Jackson having fun with his friends Owen and Carly. Jackson sees these guys on a regular basis and loves hanging out with them. Owen and Jackson are only 9 days apart and Carly is an "older woman" by about 3 weeks.

Ouch! Pavement hurts!

Jackson is learning to walk around outside and the poor little guy took a couple of spills this week. Here he is showing off his bruises and handing me his "boo bunny" ice pack for his head.

Happy Father's Day!

Dada and Jackson had fun today playing in the blow-up pool. It was Jackson's first time in there and he had a blast splashing and pointing at the "fwowas" (flowers).

He loves his daddy SO much and they love to be together!

Summer is here!

Jackson tried his first popsicle today. We went for our morning walk but the sun came out and the day heated up early. He got all hot and sweaty playing in the yard plus he is getting his third bottom tooth so a popsicle seemed like a good idea. He enjoyed it but it melted faster than he could eat it!

Pants Off Dance Off

Jackson has figured out how to remove his pants when he doesn't feel like napping. Mind you, it is only certain styles of pants but somehow he does it! This happened alot this week since Jackson is having so much fun with the whole walking thing. I think he is too excited to sleep and I can hear him in there screeching and slapping the walls with his hands when he is supposed to be napping. It's like he is having a party in his crib!

Jackson is walking!

As you will see, he is getting better at this everyday. In the space of about a week he has gone from 2-3 quick steps to 30! He walks in and out of rooms now and can clap hands while standing! It's pretty amazing. He has learned to clap for himself when he falls because Bill and I do this to praise him. It's pretty cute. Biking with Mom & Dad!

We took Jackson on the Silver Comet Trail to see if he likes biking and being in a Burley. The first half-hour was uneventful and he just sat back and enjoyed the scenery. Then...he got antsy! I think he was itching to try out his new walking shoes because he was ready to get out. Daddy had to pedal extra fast to get back quicker. It was a fun day and Jackson liked playing in the cool fountain after.

The Atlanta Botanical Garden

We went to the Atlanta Botanical Garden with friends Beth and baby girl Carly and had lots of fun playing in the children's park. There were fountains, sand boxes, birds and other creatures to check out. The babies had fun although it was a really hot day. Next time we will bring our suits and a change of clothes!

Mother's Day 2007

Bill was working this Mother's Day so we took a trip up to NY to see my mom and the rest of the family. The girls (and Jackson) had lunch in a beautiful garden and toured the grounds. It was a beautiful day and so nice to spend Mother's Day together.

This is Jackson's new "face" (on the right). He likes to scrunch up his nose and eyes and show off his new teeth with a sly little smirk. Its definitely his new favorite thing to do, aside from slithering commando-style across the floor. He loves to make the face at Daddy especially. Daddy and Jackson like to growl and grunt at eachother too - such boys! He's been extra drooly today and I can see another top tooth below the surface about to come through. Lots of changes this month!
