A Little "me" Time

I caught Jackson "reading" today. Can you tell that the book is upside down? He is really into Richard Scarry books right now, thanks to Beth and Nana. He loves Gorilla's Bananamobile the best and always asks me to find "Banna".

Jackson's Halloween

Jackson had a fun-filled Halloween as a dragonfly! We took him to a Fall Fair where he had a blast bouncing, sliding and trick-or-treating. He did not appreciate the clown at the fair entrance and immediately burst into tears at the sight of him! Luckily he was easily appeased by a tractor ride and taste of funnel cake...

Fall Hike

Fall in Georgia is absolutely beautiful and its so great to spend time outside again after a long, hot summer. Jackson loved hiking beside us and kept saying "hike, hike". The hike took a little longer with our curious little guy as he kept stopping to pick up (and taste) the rocks!

Fun at Fernbank

We went to Fernbank Museum with Grandma, Beth and Carly the other day. The kids had a blast and loved seeing the frog exhibit and big dinosaurs. They played for a while in the children's area and that was fun too!

No Pics This Week :(

Things are still going great at home for Jackson. He has been especially lucky because he had 3 grandparents visit in a row! First Nana came from New York, then Pop-Pop came from Connecticut and now Grandma Carol is here from Colorado! We have gotten some great pictures over the last week but unfortunately we are having MAJOR computer problems right now so I won't be able to share any pictures with you. Our system crashed and we are having problems recovering our files. So sad because all of our pictures are missing at the moment. Hopefully we will get this figured out soon. Back up your files (especially pictures of your little ones) ASAP! :)

Finally Back Home!

We got back home last night (Saturday, 9/22). Jackson is doing very well and seems to love being back in his own space. He is pretty much back to normal (running, playing, talking, throwing things) and we couldn't be happier or more thankful. We want to thank our family and friends for their support throughout all of this. We love you all very much.

Pics from Jackson's Hospital Visit

Although it was a difficult visit, the nurses and doctors were amazing and we would highly recommend Children's Healthcare of Atlanta! The main building, Tower A, is where Jackson had the surgery. It was recently renovated and it was amazing - bright, spacious, colorful and cheerful. All of the patient recovery rooms are in Tower B, which is considerably more dated and unfortunately had a very different feel. This is where we spent the majority of our time. They are currently renovating Tower B to be more like Tower A so someday it will be just as great.

Dryer Incident

So I left Jackson alone for a minute while I was getting some clothes folded (OK, I left the dryer open as well) and here is what I find...the little rascal had climbed into the dryer!

Anna & Nick's Vermont Wedding

My sister Anna got married on September 8th in Ludlow, VT. I was the matron of honor and Bill was a groomsman. Jackson got to wear a tux and he even hit on the 3 adorable flower girls (Nick's neices) by giving them lots of hugs. The bride and groom's get-a-way car was a 1948 green Chevy pickup truck which Jackson thought was so cool. He spent a lot of time "driving" it. The wedding was SO fun and the band was amazing. Everyone was dancing all night! Congratulations to Nick and Anna! We love you and are so happy for you guys!

Rehearsal Dinner

Here are some pics from Anna & Nick's rehearsal dinner on September 7. It was held on a patio overlooking the Okemo golf course. All of the guests got koozies which Jackson used to keep his sippy cup cool! I gave a toast and managed to do a pretty good job with it although I was pretty nervous.
