School Update

Jackson is really enjoying school and was thrilled
when he got to decorate a sugar cookie and
bring it home to eat. Aside from getting a cold the
first week he was there (Note: he was only there
for 2 HOURS that week!), all is well! His teacher Miss
Maureen says he's very "outgoing". Which we knew.

Colorado Grandparents Visit

I'm a little late in blogging this, but Bill's parents
came for a visit in early September. I got NO pictures
of them but I know Rick got a lot of great ones. Here are
some of the things we did while they were visiting.
Thanks for a fun visit Grandma Carol & Grandpa Rick!
We miss you!

Last trip (?) of the summer to the Jersey Shore.

Jackson's Workout

We'll do anything to get a nap out of Jackson...
Here we are playing soccer at the local high school.

School!

Jackson has started school! Tuesday was his first day
and he will go Tues./Thurs. afternoons. It should be
interesting b/c it kind if coincides with naptime but
a boy has to get out, right? The first day he ran right
into the classroom and didn't look back. He had a blast!

End of Summer Pics

Here are some random pictures from the last few weeks...

Uncle Mike made these personalized chairs for
Jackson and his cousins Sophie (10 mos) and
Matthew (3 mos). Cool!

Fun at the beach

Running from the waves

We went to a fun picnic with Papa and
Grandma Bernie. Jackson spent about 2
hours in the bouncy thing. No joke.
At a car show with Nana and Grandpa George.

Reunion with Carly!!

Our good friends from Georgia (Beth, Frank and Carly) were
in CT visiting family so we road-tripped to meet them one day
for lunch and exploring. The kids were shy at first but then
warmed up to eachother. Carly and Jackson have "known" eachother
since they were 4 months old or so. Carly has gotten so big!
She is as adorable as ever and it was great to see them all in
person again. We miss all of our Georgia friends so much!

Maine trip

Maine was great. Its so beautiful there. We had mostly cloudy
weather but we still got to the beach, which was only a block
from the cute cottage Marnie rented. The kids had a blast at
the beach, throwing rocks and getting wet and dirty. Delaney
is such a sweet little girl (21 mos.). Unfortunately, Jackson is
going through a bit of an aggressive phase right now. He thinks
he's a tough guy or something and wasn't into sharing with her.
"This too shall pass" as they say...

To break up the 6 hour drive home, we stopped in Portland, ME
and had lunch with Courtney and her 6 month old, Abby. Then
we stopped to see Colgate friend Angela in NH. Her lab Rosie,
(who she got as a puppy when we were in college) is now 11 years old!
She also has another black lab named Wally, who is 2. Jackson loved
playing on Ang's "motobike"!

Colorado Pics

OK, I went a little overboard posting pictures
from our trip but we were there for 2 weeks
and there were so many great moments. As
you will see, each day was action-packed and
Jackson napped pretty much EVERY day!

With Cousin Catherine at the 4th of July parade
in downtown Steamboat.

Jackson checking out the fire trucks.

Cousin Matthew, packing heat.

Lake Catamount - not a bad place to hang out!
Grandpa Rick & Grandma Carol

Jim getting ready to battle Matthew
in the sumo wrestling ring at 4th of July picnic.

The Annual Cattle Run through downtown Steamboat.
They didn't really run, more of a saunter...

Cousins in the Chariot. This only worked a few
times as Jackson apparently has issues with
others in his "personal space".
The pool at Catamount. I made sure that I
spent a few days here by myself. Thanks,
Grandma Carol!
Playing in the pool with his new "Cars" lifejacket.
Throwing rocks in the Yampa River.
We did this ALOT. Very fun.

Finding the perfect rock...

Hot air balloons launching that we could see from the house.
